Welcome to Kimberly’s Corner. Sadly, Kimberly went to heaven on July 13, 2026, after her battle with Behavioral Variant Frontotemporal Dementia (bvFTD).

This site began as a place to share Kimberly’s journey with bvFTD and my experience trying to survive as her unpaid spouse caregiver. Although Kimberly’s battle has ended, the experiences we lived through—and the lessons learned about our broken caregiver support system—remain important.

Kimberly’s Corner will continue in her memory as a place for caregivers, especially spouse caregivers, to learn, vent, share their stories, ask questions, and know they are not alone. Whether you are just beginning this journey, are currently living it, or have already walked this difficult road, your experience and your voice matter.

Our journey showed me firsthand how difficult it can be for families to obtain the care, respite, financial assistance, and support they desperately need. That needs to change.

By continuing to share our experiences and adding more caregiver voices, I hope we can help bring about meaningful changes so future families do not have to face this journey with so little support.
