Welcome to Kimberly’s Corner, where we share Kimberly’s ongoing battle with behavioral variant Frontotemporal Dementia (bvFTD ) and my survival as an unpaid spouse caregiver with her ongoing daily changes with this disease. I will say upfront, this is not a happy journey!

If you are a full-time caregiver, just starting out as a spouse caregiver, or have been there, done that, please use this site to vent, learn, share your story, and ask questions. You will soon find out that the system is broken when it comes to supporting you as a caregiver. The system will not work in your favor, so changes are needed to help spouse caregivers survive their ordeal.

For that reason, it is important to share your voice on this site. The more voices we can get, the better chance we have to make changes. If you have questions or stories you want to share, please email them to me, Leon, Kimberly’s husband!
